LEED Project Management with Jenny Carney

This 8 hour workshop is designed to inform participants of the ins and outs of successfully managing a LEED® project. Whether experienced with working on a LEED® registered project or new to the certification system, you will learn tips, potential pitfalls, strategies and best practices for integrating LEED® into your projects, as well as key tools and resources that can help you keep your team on track with your LEED® goals. The training will provide a brief overview of what's new with the LEED® rating system, and will focus primarily on developing an approach for achieving LEED certification including how to complete and manage completion of LEED® documentation, streamlining the certification process, and a step-by-step timeline of key tasks and milestones related to LEED®. The training includes group exercises and interactive sessions to allow participants to work through and fully engage in the course material.

About Jenny Carney

Jenny is a Principal at YRG, one of the premier sustainability consultants on the globe. Her expertise is in the realm of building operations and upgrades, including helping companies, building owners, facility managers, and developers incorporate sustainability into all facets of their business and building practices.

Jenny oversees YRG project work related to LEED® for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance certification, corporate sustainability programming and reporting, and sustainability strategy development for businesses and existing buildings. She has been extensively involved in the development of the LEED®-EB:O&M Rating System. She served as the primary author of the V2.0, v2008, and v2009 Reference Guides, and currently heads up YRG's efforts conducting project certification reviews and credit interpretation responses (CIRs) for LEED®-EB:O&M projects on behalf of USGBC. She sits on the USGBC-Chicago Chapter's Education & Research committee.
